Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) are advanced systems designed to treat industrial wastewater for reuse or safe disposal into the environment, ensuring the preservation of the ecosystem.
Vikram Envirotech Solutions is a trusted manufacturer and supplier of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) based in [Location, India]. We specialize in delivering customized solutions to diverse industries worldwide, offering a complete range of services from requirement analysis, solution design, and implementation to installation, post-installation support, and maintenance.
What is an Effluent Treatment Plant?
Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) are designed to purify industrial effluent and contaminated water, making it safe for reuse or discharge. This system removes harmful contaminants, chemicals, and pollutants from the wastewater, contributing to sustainability and environmental protection. ETPs are widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, textiles, tanneries, and chemicals, although the treatment process may vary depending on the industry type.
The primary purpose of an ETP is to release safe water back into the environment, thereby mitigating the harmful effects of untreated industrial wastewater.
Types of Effluent Treatment Plants We Offer:
- CETP Plant
- Industrial ETP
- Compact / Portable ETP
Major Advantages of ETPs:
- Industrial Wastewater Treatment: Effectively treats wastewater and sewage from industries and residential areas.
- Packaged Solutions: Compact packaged ETPs are ideal for small- to medium-sized industries.
- Reusability: Produces clean, reusable water.
- Eco-Friendly: Contributes to maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
- Groundwater Preservation: Helps in maintaining and improving groundwater levels.

Process of Effluent Treatment in ETPs
- Equalization: Raw wastewater is balanced in an equalization tank to homogenize effluents before being transferred to the next stage. This step stabilizes the pH and flow of wastewater.
- pH Control: According to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the pH level of treated wastewater should range between 5.5 and 9.0. This step involves adjusting the pH to neutral levels to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Coagulation: Coagulation involves the addition of chemicals like liquid aluminum sulfate to form larger particles from tiny contaminants, enabling easier removal through sedimentation and filtration.
- Sedimentation: In this step, water is allowed to move slowly, enabling heavier particles to settle at the bottom as sludge.
- Filtration: The water is passed through layers of sand and gravel filters to remove finer particulates. Regular backwashing ensures these filters remain effective.
- Disinfection: Chlorination or other methods are used to disinfect the treated water before it is discharged or reused.
- Sludge Drying: The sludge collected during sedimentation is dried using sludge drying beds, allowing water to evaporate naturally and leaving behind dry sludge for safe disposal.
